HISTORY: William Mansell Tweedy, a local banker, paid for the building of St Paul's Church circa as an overflow church for the parish of St Clements. The architect for the original church is unknown but it consisted of a nave, chancel, south aisle and south porch. In the church was consecrated and acquired its own parish.

St Paul’s continues to hold the Parish, the County, Country and the World in prayer. However it is now closed until further notice.
